Bereavement Committee This group offers hospitality to grieving families after the funeral services by hosting a reception in the church hall following a funeral.
Helping Hands Parishioners volunteer to provide a meal in times of need for a family going through difficult times such as a death or a long illness, or other circumstances of need.
St. Vincent de Paul Society The vocation of the Society’s members, who are called Vincentians is to follow Christ through service to those in need and so bear witness to His compassionate and liberating love. Members show their commitment through personto person contact. Vincentions serve in hope. No work of charity is foreign to the Society. It includes any form of help that alleviates suffering or deprivation and promotes Human dignity and personal integrity in all their dimensions.
Prayer Shawl Ministry Prayers and shawls are offered to those in need or for celebrations of life. The white garments used at baptism are from the prayer shawl ministry as well.
Knights of Columbus The Knights are a Catholic fraternal organization of men who band together to support the Pope and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. They are a charitable organization that raises money to support the parish and others in need.
Scouts The parish is proud to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop and a Girl Scout Troop as well as hosting other scouting events.
Community Garden Each spring and summer a group of gardeners till our soil and the produce is delivered to the Sutton Food Pantry.
Sewing Committee A group of our talented parishioners work together to design and sew a variety of items to be sold at our winter church festival and at other events throughout the year.
Haiti Twinning Committee St. Mark’s Parish is “twinned” with the Foyer St. Etienne (St. Stephen’s House) a 40 bed Nursing home in Les Cayes, Haiti. The committee raises funds to support total patient Care, including staff, meals and maintaining the facility. “Teach the Children” sponsors Students in the area of the nursing home.
Lectors Proclaim the Word of God for Sunday Mass and other services. Lectors promise to make Scripture a priority in their lives.
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist These ministers help to distribute Hold Communion at Sunday Mass and have the opportunity to bring Holy Communion to shut-ins.
Altar Servers Servers assist the priest and deacon at Sunday Mass. Boys and Girls are eligible to serve in this ministry after they have made their First Holy Communion.
Ushers Take up the collection at Sunday Mass, hand out the bulletins and serve as greeters for those that attend.
Church Cleaning Crew This group helps to do light dusting, polishing and keeps the church sparkling each week.
Religious Education/Youth Ministry Religious Education is an important task of every parish family. Teachers, helpers and Team Members play an important role in educating our young people in the Catholic Faith.

Musicians, Cantors Music and song are an important part of worship. We welcome you to use your Musical talents and gifts to help us praise God and celebrate the Eucharist.
Finance Committee Advises and assists the pastor in managing the finances of the parish as well as setting priorities and goals.
Building and Grounds Committee Oversees the maintenance of our existing buildings and recommends projects to preserve the properties and grounds.
Church Decorating and Gardening Committee Decorating the interior of the church for the holidays is an important part of this committee’s work; in addition they help to decorate the grounds, immediately around the church.
Eucharistic Adoration Team Each First Wednesday of the Month, St. Mark’s sponsors Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 9:30 AM (after morning Mass) until 8 PM (after a closing Rosary). Parishioners sign up for an hour during this time.
Offertory Collection Counters Counters of the weekly offertory collections.
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) We welcome and catechize adults and children who wish to be Baptized into the Roman Catholic Faith and Christians of other denominations who wish to enter the Roman Catholic Church.
Christmas Giving Tree Our parish community provides Christmas presents for Sutton families, as well as the Urban Missionaries of Our Lady of Hope
Bishop Flanagan Ladies Auxiliary Provide assistance to various ministries here at St. Mark’s and local charities. Offer service to our church through a variety of services and projects.
